Board games are fun. We have fun playing board games.
We think you would have fun playing board games too.
The trouble is, getting to know what games you might want to try can be tricky, if you’re not sure where to look. The biggest board game resource on the net, BoardGameGeek, is more than a little daunting. There are many great podcasts and blogs, but finding a way in and getting through the jargon isn’t always easy.
The aim of Analogue Diversions is to give you a simple and easy-to-follow review, even if you’re very new to boardgames. Don’t expect a full rules recap, or a detailed breakdown of the components. Instead, We try to give you an idea of how the game works, what it’s like to play, and – of course – whether it’s fun or not. But we do reserve the right to digress at times and talk of things that aren’t strictly board games and card games.
With luck, you’ll be able to find some games here that interest you. Analogue Diversions is designed to be a good starting point – links to BoardGameGeek and other blogs will help you find out more about a particular game.
If you have any feedback, please feel free to email.
